Welcome to Stanwood...

On behalf of the businesses and citizens of Stanwood, welcome to our community. The Pioneers who founded our city worked hard and made a commitment to make Stanwood an excellent place to live and work. In carrying on this tradition, we challenge you to become part of our community. Put you talents to work by volunteering in our schools, senior center, fire department, churches, veteran, civic or service organizations. The citizens of our community will deeply appreciate your efforts. Your commitment and dedication will contribute towards keeping Stanwood an excellent place to live and work.

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce

Our Lead Industry
Agriculture, one of the foundations of our past, remains important in Stanwood. Seed, produce and meat production are all primary industries in north Snohomish county. Major players in agriculture include Alf Christianson Seed Company and Twin City Foods. Christianson's ranks among the nation's largest independent seed growers. Twin City Foods, the city's largest employer, is a major national wholesaler of frozen vegetables. Many small, local growers represented by Farmer Markets during the summer add to the attractiveness and economy of Stanwood.

The Business Community
In addition to the agricultural economy, the Stanwood School District, Josephine Retirement Center, Schenk Packing, QFC Food Center, Twin City Foods and Haggen Food and Pharmacy contribute greatly to the overall employment of the area.
